About the Event
This season at Excaliburger has been great. Thank you everyone for coming out to the drive through.
Monday, July 12, 2021 Excaliburger will be cooking our last 100 cheeseburgers of the season.
The cover charge for this event is a $100 tax deductible donation to World Central Kitchen, a 501c3 organization.
This will not be our last day ever, but it is time for it to be done for a while.
- Hurricane season is upon us and I need to be ready to activate to disasters.
- I am launching a project and need to free myself up to focus on it. Be excited, we are going to change the world and have a lot of delicious food.
World Central Kitchen keeps communities fed through their most trying times. Whether it be a hurricane, pandemic, or manmade crisis, WCK uses the power of food to create stability in uncertain times. Little Rock should be interested to know that during the pandemic World Central Kitchen provided our community almost a million melas, primarily to kids who rely on school meals to not go hungry.
Four years ago after working two hurricanes independently I resolved to come home and start my own NGO. The relief I saw was terrible, always about the credit of the giver and not about the actual needs of the receiver.
Then I came across World Central Kitchen.
Long story short, they were legit and I decided to join them instead of doing my own thing. Four seasons later this was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
We will be raising money for their continured efforts here and around the world.
These burgers will be fire -- I have some ground beef made from the steak trimmings at Cypress Social in Maumelle which might as well be straight butter. You're going to love it.
Thanks for all the love.
Little Rock has been the best home team a boy and his food truck could ask for.
Good for 1 cheeseburger. More importantly, you get to contribute to disaster response feedings :)
